Ken Biller Inks Deal With Fox 21 Studios, Joins TNT’s ‘Legends’ As New Showrunner
Perception co-creator/showrunner Ken Biller has signed an overall deal with Fox21 Television Studios. Under the pact, he is returning to TNT as the new showrunner on Fox21 TV Studios’ TNT dramaLegendsexecutive produced by Howard Gordon. He’ll also develop new projects.

If there’s one surefire way to know your fall programming slate is going to be a hit, fill it with shows that have proven their success overseas, right? Not exactly. Despite a record over the last 10 years that can best be described as mixed, the broadcast networks are loading up their fall 2015 slates with adaptations of foreign series, one of the biggest trends to emerge this pilot season.

Orange Is The New Black and Jane The Virgin‘s Diane Guerrero has been cast opposite Charlie McDermott in Greg Garcia’s CBS comedy pilotSuper Clyde, from CBS TV Studios.
Margot Bingham (Boardwalk Empire) has landed one of the female leads in ABC’s untitled drama pilot from Jenna Bans, Mandeville Prods. and ABC Studios.

WSJ: YouTube remains unprofitable, breaking even with revenue of $4B in 2014
YouTube still isn’t a profitable business for Google. Thanks to a premium ads push last year called "Google Preferred," the video-streaming increased its revenue to $4 billion in 2014 from $3 billion in 2013, but it’s still only roughly breaking even.
(kids) Nickelodeon To Launch Noggin Subscription-Video Service in March
The Viacom-owned kid-media juggernaut will revive Noggin — once a cable network for preschoolers that was changed to Nick Jr. in 2009 — as a subscription video service delivered via broadband connections. The service, which was recently previewed by Viacom executives during a call with investors, is set to launch March 5. Noggin arrives as Nickelodeon continues to grapple with ratings declines at its traditional TV network, owing to viewers seeking video content on new kinds of screens.
FCC Net Neutrality Battle Comes to Head With Thursday Vote
Capping a historic fight, the FCC is slated to enact net neutrality on Thursday, pleasing not only consumer groups, but entertainment producers and unions who say the move will preserve the Web as a growing alternative to cable for showcasing their works.
