X-Files Revival Officially Ordered at Fox, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson Back for 6 New EpisodesThe X-Files is indeed returning to Fox, with original stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprising their respective roles as Fox Mulder and Dana Scully. Fox has officially ordered a six-episode continuation of its phenomenally successful supernatural drama, to shoot this summer and (presumably) air at some point next season.

Fox Sues to Keep ‘Empire’ as Title of Hit Series
The broadcaster takes preemptive action after being sent multimillion-dollar demands from Empire Distribution Inc.

produces enough misfires that the appeal of those shows that spark to life, a la “Broad City,” is perhaps magnified. So it is with “Big Time in Hollywood, FL,” an infectiously energetic, wonderfully silly serialized comedy that feels like a mashup of the Three Stooges and Quentin Tarantino. The 10-episode order isn’t exactly highbrow, but contains enough laugh-out-loud moments to indeed put co-creators Alex Anfanger and Dan Schimpf well on their way to the big time.

Two weeks of 1.1 ratings for The Following show that the first was no fluke. Without a new episode of Gotham propping it up, its ratings are into the Cancellation Bear’s "likely to be canceled" territory. Compare that to (now renewed) Sleepy Hollow, which followed a new episode of Gotham every single time but once this season. In that one episode not following a new Gotham it scored a 1.5 rating.
