NBC has picked up a script called Us & Him. Written by Jake Wilson and Sas Goldberg, the comedy is based on their lives and centers on two co-dependent best friends who must come to terms with change brought on by marriage and family starting to get in the way of their relationship. Wilson and Goldberg will pen the script and executive produce the Sony Pictures Television comedy. NBC has picked up a script from The Wiz executive producers Neil Meron and Craig Zadan that’s based on the life of the live musical’s choreographer, Fatima Robinson. Inspired by Robinson’s life as a dancer-turned-choreographer, the untitled drama is set in Los Angeles with early plans to set it in the 1990s, as dance begins to dominate pop culture on the streets and clubs that gave birth to hip-hop dance. HBO is teaming with Kathryn Bigelow to develop the drama The Recruiters. The drama, based on an original idea, looks to unveil what is considered a world that’s hidden in plain sight. Set in Minnesota, the drama "will draw open an iron curtain behind which viewers will see the highly impenetrable world of Jihadi recruitment."
