Freeform Developing Drama Series About Grand Duchess Anastasia From McGFreeformhas bought an hourlong pitch from writers Daniel Mackeyand Seth Fisherfor McG to executive produce under his deal at the network, ABC Studios and ABC Signature. The show takes on one of the biggest mysteries of the early 20th century, that of Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna Romanova of Russia. Set in vibrant Paris during the roaring 1920’s, this reimagining follows Anastasia after her escape from Communist Russia. While her sights are set on avenging the death of her family, she joins forces with an elite espionage agency that’s working to prevent another world war.

AMC Orders ‘The Terror’ Anthology Drama Series From Scott FreeAMChas greenlighted The Terror, an anthology drama series based on the 2007 bestselling novel by Dan Simmons. Scott Free, Alexandra Milchan’s Emjag Productions, Entertainment 360 and AMC Studios are producing the 10-episode straight-to-series drama for a 2017 premiere. Written by feature writer David Kajganich (True Story), the series is set in 1847, when a Royal Naval expedition crew searching for the Northwest Passage is attacked by a mysterious predator that stalks the ships and their crews in a suspenseful and desperate game of survival.

Freeform Nabs TV Rights for Sofia Carson’s ‘Cinderella Story’ Sequel“A Cinderella Story” is coming back with a new, modernized version of the classic Disney tale, starring Disney Channel starlet Sofia Carson, and Freeform has nabbed the TV rights with plans to air the movie by early 2017. Titled “A Cinderella Story: If the Shoe Fits.”

Bryan Singer Developing R-Rated Red Sonja Series For Television

Bryan Singer is currently developing a TV series based on Red Sonja. Singer will be directing and producing it along with Stephen L’Heureux and his Solipsist Films. And the money is coming from TWC/Dimension.
