Netflix Lands Chuck Lorre Pot Comedy ‘Disjointed’ With Kathy Bates Set to Star
Chuck Lorre’s pot comedy has found a home and a star. After being shopped to broadcast networks and streaming services, Netflix has landed Disjointed with a 20-episode order and tapped Kathy Bates to star. Co-written by Lorre and David Javerbaum, the workplace comedy stars Bates as a lifelong advocate for marijuana legalization who’s finally living her dream as the owner of a Los Angeles-area cannabis dispensary. The multicamera comedy hails from Warner Bros. Television.

‘Behind Enemy Lines’ TV Series Based On Movie Back In The Mix At Fox
Behind Enemy Lines, a drama series project based on the movie starring Owen Wilson and Gene Hackman, is back in development at Fox with a new writer. The network, which was high on mounting an adaptation last year, giving the project a put pilot commitment, is taking a new stab at the concept, to be written by Nikki Toscano.

Netflix Renews ‘Bloodline’ for Third Season
The Kyle Chandler drama will be back for what is said to be a 10-episode third season.

Guy Ritchie, Lionel Wigram Ink Overall TV Deal With Endemol
The scripted division of Endemol Shine North America has signed the duo’s Ritchie/Wigram Productions banner to a multiple-year overall deal. Under the pact, the company will focus on developing original scripted franchises for the global TV marketplace.

HBO has confirmed the premiere date for its new comedy series High Maintenance. The six-episode series will debut on Friday, September 16 at 11 PM. Created and written by the married duo of Katja Blichfeld and Ben Sinclair, who also created the web series of the same name, and starring Sinclair, the series gives a glimpse into the daily routines of a diverse group of New Yorkers and how they light things up.
