Workplace Comedy Starring Anjelah Johnson & Produced By Ed Helms In Works At NBCNBC has put in developmentWe The People, a single-camera comedy starring MadTV alumna Anjelah Johnson, from Universal TV and Ed Helms Pacific Electric Picture Company. Written by former Key and Peele writer-producer Charlie Sanders, We The People is set in the Los Angeles office of a federal agency and revolves around case officer Malory Ruiz (Johnson), who alongside a diverse group of co-workers, helps people gain their citizenship, while just trying to make it to five o’clock.

Freeform will release its newest hourlong drama Beyondall at once online after kicking things off with a two-hour television debut on Monday, Jan. 2. “Pitch Battle,” which will air primetime on flagship channel BBC One on Saturdays in a slot previously occupied by “The Voice,” will seek out Britain’s best singing group, whether they be pop, rock, folk, gospel, or capella. The show will feature a series of choral challenges, including “Pitch Perfect” inspired riff offs, mash-ups, solo showdowns and group harmonies over the course of five hour-long, heat episodes, before heading into a live final.
