The Commanders
will include limited series ranging from four to 10 hours long and will tackle former presidents including Clinton, Ronald Reagan, Theodore Roosevelt, James Madison and Thomas Jefferson. (History is also internally developing projects on George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and Dwight Eisenhower.) Those involved include Emmy winner R.J. Cutler and Stephen J. Rivele, as well as Matthew Sand, Cyrus Nowrasteh, Michael Hirst and Leslie Greif.

Showtime Buys ‘Los Hermanos’ Brothers Comedy From Kapital Entertainment
has put in development Los Hermanos, an edgy comedy series from Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment. Written by Hayes Davenport (Vice Principals), Los Hermanos is about two brothers from Chula Vista, California – a town close to the U.S. Mexican border near San Diego – who start an unconventional business together to pay for their mom’s healthcare.

Anjelica Huston, Elizabeth Smart Set for Lifetime Movies
will star in a reimagining of the 1980 film The Watcher in the Woods, to be directed and exec produced by Melissa Joan Hart. Smart, who was famously abducted from her home in 2002 at the age of 14 and rescued nine months later, is teaming with the network for the authorized movie about her kidnapping, titled I Am Elizabeth Smart.

Ed Redlich Joins CBS Navy SEAL Drama Pilot As ShowrunnerDrama veteran Ed Redlich has been tapped as showrunner of CBS/CBS Studios’ untitled Navy SEAL drama pilot.
