Pop Picks Up Will Arnett, Keanu Reeves Comedies
is pushing further into original programming. The cabler has picked up three series, including the Will Arnett-produced sketch comedy Hot Date based on the CollegeHumor web series of the same name and Swedish Detectives: Private Investigators, featuring Keanu Reeves in his first recurring TV role. The network is also ramping up its drama portfolio with the soapy Clique from the creators of Skins. Pop has picked up the first six-episode of the BBC Three drama and will co-produce the series, which recently won an audience award at MIPCOM, with the BBC beginning with season two.

‘Grace and Frankie’ Sets ‘Friends’ Reunion With Season 4 Renewal
has handed out a fourth-season renewal for the comedy series starring Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin. Additionally, the Marta Kauffman-created show has added Emmy winner Lisa Kudrow (Friends).

‘The Path’ Renewed for Season 3 at HuluThe next season will run 13 episodes.

‘The Arrangement’ Renewed For Season 2 By E!
has ordered a 10-episode second season of its hit original scripted series The Arrangement.

‘The Magicians’ Is Renewed for Third Season at SyfyThe series will return with another batch of 13 episodes in 2018.

Adam Glass Inks Overall Deal With Fox 21 TV Studios, Joins ‘The Chi’ As Co-EPFormer Supernatural executive producer Adam Glass has signed an overall deal with Fox 21 Television Studios. Under the two-year pact, he has joined the studio’s new Showtime drama series The Chi as co-executive producer, working alongside creator/executive producer Lena Waithe and exec producer/showrunner Elwood Reid. Glass is coming off a stint as an executive producer/co-showrunner on CBS’ Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders.

David Morrissey Takes Up Residence in ‘The City and the City’ for BBC
David Morrissey
will head the cast of Tony Grisoni’s adaptation of “The City and the City” for BBC Two. The international cast also features German actress Maria Schrader, and U.S. actor Christian Camargo. Described by the BBC as a “genre-busting thriller” based on the “mind-bending” 2009 novel by China Mieville, “The City and the City” follows the investigation of Inspector Tyador Borlu (Morrissey), a detective in the Extreme Crime Squad of the fictional rundown European city of Beszel, into the death of a foreign student.
