Hi all, here’s your Morning Update for Wednesday, May 17, 2017:

(sched) CBS 2017-18 Fall Schedule: ‘Big Bang Theory’ Spinoff ‘Young Sheldon,’ ‘SWAT’ Head to Thursday
is fortifying its Thursday lineup in the fall with “The Big Bang Theory” spinoff “Young Sheldon” landing the 8:30 p.m. time slot behind TV’s top-rated comedy while new drama “SWAT” moves into the 10 p.m. berth. (sched) ABC Fall Schedule: Friday Gets a Genre Push, ‘Black-ish’ Moves NightsNo premiere date for ‘Idol’ as ‘The Good Doctor,’ ‘The Mayor,’ ‘The Gospel of Kevin’ and ‘Inhumans’ all make the lineup.

THR: ABC’s New Show Trailers: A Critic’s Ranking‘The Crossing’ looks enticingly either awesome or awful, several shows look like they were made a decade ago and the Shondaland show looks like a Shondaland show.

TVBTN: Masked Scheduler: FOX fall 2017 schedule needs more showmanship…What is also sort of bizarre is that the three new shows are all mutant/aliens stuff. Two of the three are comedies? None of them feel like they have broad appeal, and they all feel like they will skew more male than your average show. None of them feel like they are going for heart. This has been an ongoing issue for me with much of FOX development. They continue to think there’s a FOX brand when the biggest successes on the network have all been broad and female-skewing.
