‘Fresh Off the Boat’ Co-EP Sanjay Shah Inks Overall Deal With 20th Century Fox TVFresh Off the Boat co-executive producer Sanjay Shahhas signed an overall deal with 20th Century Fox TV, the studio behind the ABC family comedy. Under the pact, he will continue as co-exec producer on Fresh Off the Boat for its upcoming fourth season and will develop new projects for the studio.

YouTube Red Greenlights Two New Comedy Series Toplined By Ryan Hansen & Rob HuebelYouTube Red is expanding its comedy lineup, adding two new scripted series to its slate: Ryan Hansen Solves Crimes on Television*, starring Ryan Hansen, and Do You Want to See a Dead Body? from Rob Huebel who stars and executive produces. Both are set for a fall debut.

The eight-episode, half-hour comedy procedural Ryan Hansen Solves Crimes on Television*, from Rawson Marshall Thurber, is about an LAPD task force that partners actors with homicide detectives so they can use their “actor skills” to help solve murders. Samira Wiley guest stars as Hansen’s no-nonsense partner Detective Mathers. Do You Want to See a Dead Body? is an eight-episode comedy series that follows comedian Huebel and his celebrity friends who begrudgingly join him on adventures that see them frolicking at the beach, getting tacos … oh, and seeing a dead body.

YouTube Red Orders Series Produced By Dwayne Johnson, Dan Harmon & MoreYouTube Red is ramping up its original programming, ordering four new series, eSports comedy Good Game from Dan Harmon’s Starburns Industries; unscripted competition series Lace Up: The Ultimate Sneaker Challenge; scripted series Lifeline and Furze World Wonders featuring YouTube star Colin Furze. The projects were announced during YouTube Red’s Vidcon presentation.

Good Game, from Dan Harmon’s Starburns Industries, is a new scripted series that follows a newly formed team of eSports players trying to make it to the top in the cutthroat world of competitive gaming. Lifeline, produced by Dwayne Johnson and Dan Garcia’s Seven Bucks Productions and Studio71, is set in the not-too-distant future and centers on a little known life insurance company that sends its agents forward 33 days in time to prevent the accidental deaths of its clients.

Amazon Seeks $2.8M For Ad Packages With NFL Video Streams: ReportAmazon hopes to make back some of the $50 million it committed to stream 10 Thursday Night Football games this fall by charging advertisers $2.8 million for packages with 30-second spots, Reuters reports. The games also will air live on CBS and NBC, which split the season, and on the NFL Network. Amazon is looking for much more than the ad prices the broadcast networks likely will charge. They typically hover around $590,000 or less. But Amazon’s deal also will include ad displays on its website. It can only sell 10 half-minute spots on the video streams.


ABC Studios International Inks Deal with Australia’s Hoodlum Entertainment
ABC Studios International
has signed a worldwide first-look deal with Australian production company Hoodlum Entertainment. Under the deal, ABC Studios International and Hoodlum will develop new content for the global international marketplace, including the U.S. Disney Media Distribution will have international rights across all media for productions as a result of the agreement. The venture will be run by ABC Studios International’s managing director of international content and talent, Keli Lee (based in London), Hoodlum’s CEO Tracey Robertson (based out of Disney Studios at Burbank in Los Angeles) and Hoodlum’s CCO Nathan Mayfield (based in Brisbane).

‘Dynasty’ Reboot Gets International Distribution on NetflixFollowing its earlier deal to distribute “Star Trek: Discovery,” Netflix has landed international rights to another CBS-owned series, the upcoming “Dynasty” reboot set to debut October 11. Like “Discovery,” “Dynasty” is expected to stream globally on Netflix, and will premiere on the service the same day it premieres on CBS.

Wrap: New York Approves $5 Million in Incentives to Hire Women, Minorities as TV Writers and DirectorsThe New York state legislature passed a new law on Wednesday allocating up to $5 million in new tax incentives to encourage the hiring of women and people of color as TV writers and directors. The bill, introduced by Senator Marisol Alcantara and Assemblyman Marcos Crespo, would introduce a new incentive separate from the state’s existing $420 million allocation for TV and film tax credits.
